I have been sooooo lazy here last few month… Good thing I was busy working on the set and busy gardening between rain clouds… I was on the set in the studio all day… and when I came out, this beautiful painting in the sky got my attention… It’s really lovely to see the sun after work… it’s one of the reasons that I love summer…♥

Cooking, Photographing and Eating… As I finally ordered my vegetable seeds from Fedco Seeds last week, I realized my circle of Food will be completed… partially… maybe 50-60% of our vegetables… Soon the Gardening will be added to my favorites in my life… I have been cooking to photograph our HOME-made food and to share the ideas of the FOOD with other people…

Not necessary to the healthy food… But focused on the ingredients and the shared time with your loved ones… These three photos are the things we ate in a day… (Brunch, Snack, and Dinner…)

Sunny Blanket (Pancakes are made with the Butter Milk from making my own butter) with orange juice and HOME-made Carrot Juice…
Peanut butter pancake with chocolate chips…
Short Ribs with salad and rice…

We decided not to eat like a King everyday… But enjoy the company of each other at the table without the interruption of TV, phones, or anything… Eating the delicious food you made simply makes you happy… Especially with the loved one…♥

My dream in my life : the Chicken Coop…

Having our own chicken coop one day is the one of the dreams that I and my fiance share… Picking up the fresh eggs everyday will make us appreciate even more about the life and environment…

We got to spend a day at the farm which is owned by the catering company in the city… Where all the chickens are running around the farm freely… Thank to my fiance for having me as his assistant on this job… I got to experience new world and motivated me to start my own garden at the HOME…

During the lunch… All 7 of us were just so happy to talk about food… farming… and food… Please check my food blog to see more about the farm and catering company…

Vitamins from fruits… I am trying to eat the seasonal food as much as possible… Locally grown organic fruits are the best… Clementines are my favorites among the citrus family… In Japan… The clementines are everywhere at the tables during the winters… always there for you to snack one to maintain your vitamins level…

Related to the fruits… I recently found out about the secret numbers on the fruit sticker… Have you ever noticed a four or five-digit number on the fruit sticker? Their fist digits mean something…

4-digits start with # 3 or 4# are conventional products which means they were treated with week killers and chemical pesticides… 5-digits start with #8 are genetically modified which you never wanna eat… 5-digits start with #9 are your best friends! because they are organically grown…

My recent happiness has been involved with the food subjects a lot… and taking a lot of vitamins are keeping my body happier everyday!!!…♥

My favorites in my life : #021
The breakfast with freshly squeezed juices… At the brunch table… I always find myself looking for a freshly squeezed juice… My favorites are grapefruit juice… And carrot juice… I will post the carrot juice recipe on my food blog - ChiChi’s Edible Happiness at some point this week…
This photo is from our breakfast table at the HOME… the front is my carrot juice, middle is simple orange, and last is the green smoothie from the boltfarm… We kept the toasts simple with egg salad and Brie with avocado… Not only visually pleasing but they pump up your day…♥

The creation of the earth: Icicles…
I was born and raised in Osaka, Japan… Where there are only few days of snow in the winter… Never lived in the places with the severe winter… NYC??? All the apartments are blasting the heats till you feel like it’s summer inside… So… I act like a child when I find the icicles outside my window… It is such a simple trick how visually the nature attract us…♥

A Breakfast Date at Murray’s Bagel…

On Monday… My fiance had to work in the city and call time was 1pm! and I was going to head back to the Home by myself later in the afternoon… We both were craving for a good Bagels since we don’t live in the walking distance from our another favorite store called “The Bagel Store” any more… I miss them… anyway… We decided to go Murray’s for the Breakfast…

It’s monday 11am… the small tables were almost full with people who enjoy the luxury Monday morning while everyone else is busy working… We sat down and enjoyed one with the smoked white fish salad… yummy…

Now Im at the completely different place… where the beautiful white powder are covering everything outside… lovely mornings…♥

Today’s View from the Window at the Home… We have beautiful windows in every room… This is one of my favorite windows in the bedroom that turned out to be my first sight of the day… Today was a wonderful day!!!

These little happiness that I have been feeling everyday makes me feel alive, if not… makes me keep looking out for more!!! I though I never wanna get the feeling of the satisfaction… but maybe it’s simpler than I thought… these experiences with the moments of very warm satisfied spirits make me think even happier…♥

A Peephole Window… A small window like this one on the door is there for you to look through… They want you to know what’s inside… Which side you look from is your choice… Maybe sometimes you don’t have a choice… I always follow my gut and usually act like a little child on Subway… (I remember myself as a little girl making the glass windows foggy with my breath…) To inspect the forbidden world… Or simply to look for something fresh…
Where am I going to with this story??? I’m just reminding myself not to loose this pure curiosity… That always brings me something unexpected, and I believe finding new things is what makes me experience the speed of the time in the same way the little girl used to… My Kind of Happiness…♥
